Ren and Stimpy: Quest for the Shaven Yak is a 1993 video game for the Sega Game Gear developed by Realtime Associates for Sega of America. The game was based on the Nickelodeon cartoon The Ren and Stimpy Show. While several games featuring Ren and Stimpy were made for multiple game platforms, this particular game was only created for the Game Gear, although Tec Toy, Sega's Brazilian publisher, ported the game to the Master System in 1993 exclusively for Brazil.
"Quest for the Shaven Yak" was a 2D platform game and was one of the most successful Game Gear titles for that year. The player could choose to play as either Ren or Stimpy and faced a variety of obstacles in classic platformer environments. It was a 1-player game.
Game levels included: Stinking Dry Desert, Wet Bayou, Perilous Mt. Hoek and the Great Frozen North.
Powerup weapons included a bar of soap for floating soap bubble attack.
Finish the game to see the "Happy Happy Joy Joy" dance.
